Low Water Bridge Campground (LWBC) is a privately owned campground. The land where the campground is located has been in the Munson family for well over half a century. Established by Page and Christy Munson in 1997 and still going strong over 20 years later. Since the inception, LWBC has changed tremendously, from being under new ownership, to increasing the number of electric sites, offering outfitter services and serving hand dipped ice cream! Stay tuned there's more to come!
Low Water Bridge Campground offers several types of Campsites,
- sites that are equipped with 30- or 50-amp electrical service
- primitive camping sites that include riverfront and non riverfront
Also at the Campground,

If you leave your trash on your site, any animal mess, move the picnic table and/or fire ring, you are responsible for the clean up of the site. This clean up fee will be starting at $50.
Our family takes pride in the campground as we hope that you will also. PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF AND DO NOT DISTURB OR DESTROY THE NATURE. We hope you will enjoy your stay as much as we have enjoyed living on the banks of the Shenandoah River.
LWBC is a prime location on the beautiful Shenandoah River. Campers have the ability to enter the waterway. However, you are entering the water at your own risk. Use CAUTION & COMMON SENSE, NATURE IS NOT CONTROLLED.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THE WEATHER. Should the Shenandoah Valley receive a significant amount of rain this could cause the river to rise, sometimes to flood level. The river banks at the lowest point on the campground only hold back so much water until it begins to spill into the campground. We rely on the NOAA Shenandoah River Gauge website for the predictions of the river level (this website is linked on our website home page). The predictions here are a reliable source. If the river level gets too high the campground has no choice but to close to guests as it is impossible for our staff to be on every site keeping guests away from the water. When the water is high it's usually moving very fast and extremely murky, dangerous to enter for even the seasoned river enthusiiasts. In the event that the campground has to close because of high water, we ask our guests to be understanding as this event causes damage to campsites and the roads in the campground. Along with high water the wind and drought conditions can also impact your stay at LWBC. During drought conditions we may be put in a burn ban from the local fire marshal's office. During a burn ban we are not able to sell firewood. High winds may also impact with campgrounds as this may cause trees to break or uproot. Should there be an impending weather event, LWBC does our best to notify campers ASAP. All guests that are cancelled due to weather events will be given a RESERVATION CREDIT for use in the future. To utilize it, just give us a call and we are happy to reschedule your reservation.
****Camping reservations that are no call/email, no show could be responsible for the entire balance to camp. By not alerting the campground that you are not keeping your reservation, you will risk your ability to camp at LWBC and higher deposits will be required.****
